Gelganyem Trust and the Australian Federal Government entered into a 'Shared Responsibility Agreement' (SRA) in relation to Education and Training initiatives. Through the SRA the Federal Government provided matching funds of $300,000 to support education and training in remote areas in the East Kimberley. The SRA was announced by Senator Amanda Vanstone, the Former Minister for Indigenous Affairs, on 31 July 2005, when the SRA was signed with Gelganyem Trust.
