Adult Literacy.

Gelganyem Trust has formed a partnership with Indigenous Community Volunteers (ICV) to help address the literacy and numeracy needs of some of the Gija adult community members. Programs are tailored to each community and generally run for 2-3 weeks.

The volunteer lives in the community and initially spends time getting to know community members in a relaxed setting and determines their literacy and/or numeracy needs and interests. An informal program is then developed and delivered at the community.
