Girls' Program Development.

Gelganyem Trust identified the need for the development of programs to target teenage girls. There are a large amount of young teenage girls in Kununurra and Warmun who are not attending any education institution.

As a first step a consultation process took place asking the girls, their carer’s, education and other service providers why the girls were not continuing with schooling. The Trustees was also interested to know what programs are available for girls in the East Kimberley and what programs are available elsewhere.
